Inspiration for me to make art is my mind. I am just too creatively intelligent. Hahaha I’m kidding (was I funny? I know. You don’t have to answer) I feel like my inspiration is other people creating beautiful pieces of art and making it look so good and pretty whereas others have such a well together life and they show it through themselves making a piece of artwork in a minimalistic or messy (and cute) environment. To assess personal value and beliefs I will choose the Jisoo sculpture. I made the Jisoo sculpture to represent beauty and prettiness. I sculpted it after Kim Jisoo from the group Blackpink because I think she looks like one of the most beautiful people I have seen. I am a very shallow person so if you have good looks that are up to my standards then I will see you as someone nice and cool at the start until we start talking, and you become someone rude then I will dislike you. My creative process started off as me looking for a reference photo of Jisoo and then I started to sketch after her from the printed photo, after that I colored it in (if I remember correctly) and then made the sculpture. I feel like I can improve as an artist and experience more. I only stay in my realm of comfort and never explore with certain ways of creating art and visualising art so that is what I need to improve on.
